Each year, thousands of police officers from across the country converge in the New Jersey area for one mission: to grind out 300 miles on a trek to honor their fallen in Washington DC. The Police Unity Tour is an annual bike ride to raise funding and awareness for fallen police officers all over the US each spring, and two officers from Indiana will represent IMPD in 2025.
Officer Micki Sturrock rides in honor of fallen K9 Officer Seara Burton of Richmond IN, and Officer David Moore of Indianapolis. Joining her this year, is a Purple Heart recipient from Indiana who was shot in the line of duty. Our Purple Heart recipient will function in a support role and ride as he is physically able. Each of them must raise the minimum of 4,400 which covers their ride, and funds the National Law Enforcement Memorial wall in Washington DC. The Police Unity Tour bike ride foundation is the primary way this wall is continually funded for the past 30 years. Thank you for supporting our worthy cause.
