May Feature: Jan Lorenzano
At the Central Indiana Police Foundation, our work is made possible by individuals who believe deeply in supporting those who serve our communities. This month, we’re proud to highlight Jan Lorenzano, whose connection to CIPF began through a professional relationship and quickly grew into a meaningful personal commitment.
Having always supported law enforcement, Jan saw involvement with CIPF as a natural fit. As a business owner, she also values supporting organizations she works with, making her partnership with CIPF both purposeful and personal.
“CIPF was first a client, and as I have always supported law enforcement, it was a natural fit to get involved.”
One initiative that stands out to Jan is Breakfast with a Cop, CIPF’s signature event that brings officers and community members together in a positive, welcoming environment. She appreciates the opportunity it creates for connection and the way it fosters meaningful interactions.
“It allows civilians to meet and mingle with police officers in a positive setting… the message always finds a way to resonate and uplift.”
Jan believes strongly in the importance of supporting law enforcement, recognizing the challenges officers face every day and the critical role they play in maintaining safe, stable communities. She sees CIPF as an essential partner in that work. The organization helps meet real needs and provides resources that strengthen both officers and departments.
For Jan, the impact of giving extends far beyond the job itself. Supporting officers means supporting their families and, ultimately, the entire community. When officers feel valued and appreciated, they are better equipped to serve with confidence and pride.
She also recognizes the dedication of the CIPF team and the work happening behind the scenes to advance the mission.
