The Central Indiana Police Foundation was formed with the focus of supporting Law Enforcement Officers. The project that kicked off the Foundation was the need and fulfillment of providing ‘Stop the Bleed Kits’ or ‘Trauma Kits’. We formed a partnership with The Indianapolis Colts, Pacers Sports and Entertainment Group along with The Father’s House Church to research, fund and provide these kits to every officer in Marion County. In 2017, the Foundation expanded to cover all counties surrounding Marion County. By the end of 2019, 95% of the sworn officers in Central Indiana had a Trauma Kit and had participated in training on the contents.
Now serving Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Morgan, Johnson and Shelby County.
During that time the board also developed three main programs for the foundation to serve our officers – Code One, InVest In Blue, and Behind the Line.
In 2020, the Foundation rolled out the Police Officer’s Membership program for all officers in our territory. This free membership has the following benefits:
