POLICE OFFICER GRANT REQUEST GUIDELINES

  1. Two weeks prior to a scheduled board meeting, the Organization should submit
    • CCIPF Grant Application
    • Details and timing for use of funds
  2. The board will consider proposals up to $10,000 with most grants falling between $1,100 and $5,000.
    • Requests that align with the CIPF mission and are $1,000 or less can be approved by the Executive Director, without board approval, up to a cumulative annual limit of $5,000.
    • Requests over $1,000 will be reviewed by the Grants Committee and recommended to the Board of Directors.
    • The Board of Directors will vote on that recommendation during the regularly scheduled board meeting.
      • If there is an urgent request, it may be approved off-cycle by the Executive Committee.
  3. Primary focuses for consideration will be police officer (and/or their family’s) health/wellness (Code One Fund) with particular concern for extraordinary life events. Consideration will also be given to “Behind the Line” activities which promote positive community-law enforcement relationships.  A limited number of requests for equipment (InVEST in Blue Fund) will be considered.
  4. The Foundation will not consider grants for international activities, academic research, sectarian purposes, or programs that promote religious doctrine or political campaigns.
  5. Board meeting dates for 2024 are:
    • Wednesday, January 17th
    • Wednesday, March 13th
    • Wednesday, May 8th
    • Wednesday, July 17th
    • Wednesday, September 11th
    • Wednesday, November 13th
    • Wednesday, December 11th
