At the Central Indiana Police Foundation, we are proud to recognize officers who consistently demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. In partnership with Lucas Oil, we are honored to recognize Officer Joseph Musgrove of the Martinsville Police Department as our Officer of the Month.
A six-year law enforcement veteran, Officer Musgrove was recently named the Martinsville Police Department’s 2025 Officer of the Year. What made that recognition especially meaningful was the fact that he was independently nominated by two separate shift supervisors, both of whom highlighted the same qualities that have made him stand out within the department.
Across different shifts and assignments, Officer Musgrove has earned a reputation for being exceptionally professional, courteous, and proactive in his work. Whether responding to calls for service, interacting with the public, or supporting fellow officers, he consistently approaches every situation with a positive attitude and a strong sense of duty.
Even in high-stress situations, Officer Musgrove is known for maintaining a calm demeanor and a smile on his face. His attitude not only impacts the community he serves, but also helps strengthen morale within the department. Supervisors and peers alike recognize him as someone who leads by example and reflects the type of officer others aspire to be.
Officer Musgrove’s dedication extends beyond simply doing the job well. He represents the core values of Hoosier law enforcement through his integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for others. His ability to balance proactive policing with compassion and respect makes him an outstanding community servant and a trusted presence in Martinsville.
Through the support of partners like Lucas Oil, the Officer of the Month program allows CIPF to recognize officers who make a meaningful impact both inside their departments and throughout the communities they serve.
We are proud to recognize Officer Joseph Musgrove for his continued dedication to the Martinsville community and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.
