The Central Indiana Police Foundation, in proud partnership with Lucas Oil Products, is honored to recognize Field Training Officer (FTO) Grace Clark as the February 2026 Lucas Oil Officer of the Month.
FTO Clark began her career with IMPD on July 13, 2020, and after completing the academy and field training, joined the Southeast District in 2022. In a short time, she has emerged as a respected leader on her shift—known for her intelligence, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to the community she serves.
Proactive Policing with Purpose
Highly proactive and deeply knowledgeable about her beat, FTO Clark consistently identifies problem areas and individuals, then uses strong investigative skills to develop thoughtful, safe plans for apprehension. She is frequently called upon to assist with investigations involving wanted individuals, where her thorough research and attention to detail have led to numerous safe apprehensions of felony suspects.
Service That Goes Beyond the Numbers
While her productivity speaks for itself, FTO Clark’s impact extends far beyond statistics. She is widely described by peers as caring, compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy—an officer who truly listens and looks for solutions. When appropriate, she seeks alternatives to arrest, focusing on outcomes that give individuals a better chance at long-term success. For a relatively young officer, her understanding of people, problem-solving, and the broader goals of public service is both rare and impressive.
Leading by Example
In addition to her district duties, FTO Clark serves in the IMPD Chief’s Honor Guard, a prestigious assignment that demands professionalism and precision. Whether representing IMPD at ceremonies, recruit graduations, or solemn occasions, she consistently exemplifies excellence.
As a Field Training Officer, FTO Clark’s influence multiplies. Her positivity, professionalism, and strong policing skills shape the next generation of officers. Colleagues note that her attitude is contagious—and the values she instills in her trainees will benefit IMPD and the community for years to come.
