Block Party!

The Central Indiana Police Foundation partnered with IMPACT Fairfax Christian Church and IMPD for a neighborhood block party on the south west side of Indianapolis on Friday, July 23rd!

The NY Slice Pizza Food Truck and Papaw’s Ice Cream Truck were sponsored and provided free meals for all who attended. We had water balloons, face painters, giant Jenga, a bounce house, to name a few activities for the children. Every child received a balloon to attach to their bike. Then we led a parade around 2 blocks near the church building. IMPD Mounted Patrol rode over and joined us! The kids and adults loved interacting with the officers and their horse partners! Several Officers from the IMPD K9 team and IMPD Southwest team stopped by to meet the neighbors. It was great to see so many people together smiling and enjoying each other. We fulfilled a part of our mission through this event which is to create opportunities for positive interactions between our officers and the community members they serve.
