Caregivers of individuals with cognitive disabilities or medical impairments can enroll them in the AWARE program. They’ll receive 4” emblems or stickers that can be placed on vehicles and homes to alert first responders of the resident’s potential communication or comprehension challenges. This allows responders to adjust their approach during interactions, fostering a calmer and more informed environment for everyone involved.
